Dynamic Learning Institute (DLI) presents ‘The Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Tribute’ at Kerrville’s Callioux Theatre for the Performing Arts. ‘The Apollo 11 Tribute’ features NASA pioneers who played major roles in accomplishing the Manned Lunar Mission set forth by President Kennedy.
The ‘Apollo 11 Tribute’ is led by astronauts, mission control directors and engineers most of whom live in the Texas Hill Country. We are fortunate that men who have been all over the world and several out of this world believe this is the best place on earth to live. Together they share experiences as active members of the NASA team who overcame difficult challenges to ultimately build the USA’s Apollo Lunar Mission into a great American success story.
‘The Tribute’ will encompass human space exploration programs leading up to Apollo 11...the Mercury Program (human living and working in space)... the Gemini Program (two spacecraft rendezvousing and docking in space). Plus human spaceflight programs following Apollo …… Apollo-Soyuz (U.S and Russian space crafts connected in space)...Skylab (first long-duration space laboratory),...Space Shuttle (reusable space transportation system)... Space Station (the current six person space laboratory).
